Following at least 23 reports of liver problems and one confirmed death from liver failure in people taking Hydroxycut, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall of 14 Hydroxycut products.
According to the FDA, people taking Hydroxycut have reported serious liver problems and other side effects, including:
- Jaundice
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Brown urine
- Seizures
- Cardiovascular problems
Marketed as all-natural products, Hydroxycut is one of the most popular
brands of weight loss supplements, selling millions of units each year.
It is manufactured and sold by Iovate Health Services.
