Hydroxycut Ingredients

by Administrator 1. June 2009 08:58

It is well known that Hydroxycut can lead to liver failure and other medical conditions. However, it is still unknown what it is about the product that makes it so dangerous. There are some theories, but so far no proof. Three ingredients in particular stand out as possibile candidates for the dangerous ingredient: hydroxycitric acid, chromium and Camellia sinensis.

Hydroxycitric acid, the ingredient from which the products gets its name, was first tested as a weight loss supplement in the 1970s. However, research into it was stopped early on because of toxicity in animals. The acid is derived from a tropical fruit that grows on the Garcinia cambogia tree. In addition to that ingredient, the other two have been implicated as liver toxins.
